Gift Card - Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to Shaws physical Gift Cards and E-Gift Cards.

Shaws Gift Cards can be used in any Shaws store in Ireland and online at shaws.ie.

Gift Cards can be used as full or part payment for purchases. If the value of your purchase is greater than the available Gift Card balance, the remaining amount can be paid using another accepted payment method.

You do not need to spend the full value of your Gift Card in one transaction. Any unused balance remains available for future use.

More than one Shaws Gift Card may be used towards a purchase.

There is no expiry date on the value loaded onto a Shaws Gift Card. We do not reduce the balance over time and no maintenance or inactivity fees are charged.

Any unused balance remains available for future use.

You can check the remaining balance on your Shaws Gift Card at any till point in a Shaws store.

Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for their cash value.

If you do not spend the full value of your Gift Card, the remaining balance stays on the card and remains available for future purchases.

Please treat your Shaws Gift Card like cash and keep it in a safe place.

Shaws cannot accept responsibility for Gift Cards that are lost, stolen, damaged or used without the cardholder's permission.

Where possible, we may be able to assist if you have proof of purchase and sufficient information to identify the Gift Card. However, replacement cannot be guaranteed.

If you believe your Gift Card details have been compromised, please contact us as soon as possible.

Purchases made using a Shaws Gift Card are subject to our normal Returns & Refunds Policy and your statutory consumer rights.

Where a refund is due for an item originally purchased using a Shaws Gift Card, the refund will be processed in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Shaws Gift Cards can be purchased in our stores and online at shaws.ie.

Physical Gift Cards purchased online will be delivered to the address provided when placing the order.

E-Gift Cards are delivered electronically to the email address provided when placing the order.

Please ensure that all delivery and email details supplied when purchasing a Gift Card are correct. Shaws cannot accept responsibility where a Gift Card is delivered to an incorrect postal or email address as a result of incorrect information supplied by the purchaser.

Please treat your Gift Card and its details as you would cash and do not share your Gift Card number or security information with anyone you do not know or trust.

Shaws will never ask you to provide a Gift Card number as payment for an unrelated bill, fee or service.

The use of Gift Cards online or in store may occasionally be affected by technical or system issues.

Where this happens, we will endeavour to restore Gift Card services as soon as reasonably possible. The value held on your Gift Card will not be reduced as a result of a temporary technical issue.

Shaws reserves the right to refuse or suspend the use of a Gift Card where we reasonably believe it has been obtained, altered, used or reproduced fraudulently or unlawfully.

Gift Cards may not be resold or used for unauthorised commercial or promotional purposes without the prior agreement of Shaws.

Shaws may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time where reasonably necessary, including to reflect changes to our services, systems or legal requirements.

Any changes will not reduce the monetary value already held on a Gift Card or affect your statutory consumer rights.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
